Call the National Human Trafficking Resource Center 1-888-373-7888 or text BeFree (233733) to report sex trafficking, forced labor, or to get help This film was originally meant for a 48 hour competition. After shooting it, I realized it was a sensitive subject and I felt more connected to the film than I started out with. While I was editing the last scene of the film I got emotional, I couldn't even finish the original edit for days. I felt awful for putting my niece through the emotional pain of her character Frankie. It made me realize the reality of the story and how young girls go through this trauma. I didn't want to be insensitive to a topic that is a very real evil so I took my time on developing the edit more. I as filmmaker want to talk about real things and talk about issues that people tend to overlook. At the end of this all, I am super proud of the efforts of my team as we pursue our love for film. Thanks to their hard work we created something that I am extremely proud of. We plan on submitting to festivals this coming year but for now we wanted to share it with our peers. Please feel free to leave us feedback. Thank you for spending your time to watch our film.
